FACT: A news from Assam being circulated on social media by a group of people with misleading claim that an innocent man belonged to minority community was shot dead by police. But fact is that Dreaded criminal Shah Alam Talukdar was prime accused in Guwahati businessman Ranjit Bora murder case, DCP Surjeet Singh Panesar said that the accused was not handcuffed at the time he escaped police custody and that he took shelter at an abandoned house in Jorabat.Police surrounded the house asking him to surrender.Instead he attacked police with pistol.They were forced to shoot at him in defence. Few days back he faked suicide attempt inside the police station toilet to dodge interrogation.
