Verified accounts on twitter, including @weird_mystery_ shared the video of the incident in a twitter post and tweeted “Now this is how you retaliate. #MissileAttack” on Jan 18, 2024. The tweet has received an about 1.4M views on X.

Several other accounts, including @FarhanMalick16, MAHNOOR (“@khAji78“), @topnotchjournal also made the same claim that the video of launching missiles against the Iran’s strike in Balochistan was as action made by Pakistan in order to retaliate. The archive can be read from above.

We looked into it and discovered that the same video was posted on YouTube in April 2018, over five years ago. The Indian Army’s BM-21 Grad artillery can be seen firing in this video. It is unrelated to the current #IranAttackPakistan or the Pakistani army.
