A video has gone viral depicting a group of people in Mecca dressed in saffron, projected as Hindus visiting the Kaaba.

@ssaratht shared the video and claimed the same that the shared video purports to show Hindus visiting the Kaaba in Mecca features a group of people wearing saffron clothes. The tweet was made on Feb 20, 2024, which has received an about 20.8k views on X.

What is the Actual Truth About this Incident? : Fact

In actuality, this video shows pilgrims from Indonesia travelling to Mecca for Ummah. We discovered news articles and a video showing Indonesian people visiting the Kaaba dressed in identical orange outfits. It is unrelated to Hindu devotees.

We visited beritahukum.com, which published an article on this incident on Feb 27 2020 with the headline “Arab Saudi Stop Sementara Kedatangan Jamaah Umroh“. It features the same picture, which went viral with false claims.
