The tweet was made on March 10, 2024, which has received an about 289.8k views on X, contributing to the spread of the information.

The truth is that these accusations are unfounded and fraudulent; Dani Alves’s brother has made it clear that this is all fake propaganda. The claim that Dani Alves killed himself in prison is absolutely not true at all.

We visited dailymail, which published an article on this incident on March 10, 2024 with the headline “Dani Alves’ brother blasts prankster’s fake claims the ex-Barcelona and Brazil star had taken his own life in prison… weeks after being sentenced to four-and-a-half years in jail having been found guilty of rape”. Acaz Felleger, the football player’s press advisor, stated that they were thinking of taking action against Paulo Albuquerque, who resides in Rio de Janeiro, for his  fake social media post. After being convicted guilty of rape, former Barcelona defender Dani Alves was given a four-year and six-month prison sentence. Three judges found the Brazilian international guilty of forcing himself on a twenty-three-year-old lady in a Barcelona nightclub toilet, but his family still believes he is innocent.

The 40-year-old father of two, Alves, was driven to the Barcelona court and tried over three days before being given his prison sentence on February 22. Before his trial, he had been detained on remand for more than a year at Brians 2 Prison, which is located close to the Catalan city.

According to his lawyer, he had consensual sex with his accuser, a 23-year-old woman, and had not coerced her into doing anything. During his trial, state prosecutors stated that they intended to sentence him to nine years in prison upon conviction; however, the victim’s lawyer requested a sentence of twelve years.
