Congress supporter account @DrJain21 also shared the visuals and wrote. “Why No Modi ji…. How can you do this Putin”. The post has received more than 50k views and a significant number of engagements.

As soon as the posts containing the visuals and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis of the video and found that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was not present during the photoshoot at the BRICS summit because he had already returned to India due to a busy schedule.
To verify the claims made by the users. We closely inspected the video and spotted India’s Foreign Minister Dr S Jaishankar standing in the second row with the heads of delegations at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center, at the 16th BRICS Summit in BRICS Plus format.
