Fact Check: Subedar Raja Ram Gurjar died from a heart attack in Udaipur, propagandists claim terrorists attack 

Pakistan-based anti-India propaganda accounts are circulating baseless claims that 16 Indian soldiers have been killed in terrorist attacks in Kashmir since January 1, 2025, with Subedar Raja Ram Gurjar being the latest alleged target. These assertions are entirely false. Verified reports confirm that as of 16 January 2025, no soldier fatalities have occurred in terrorist incidents in Kashmir this year. Instead, four soldiers tragically lost their lives in a military vehicle accident in Bandipora, and Subedar Raja Ram Gurjar passed away due to a heart attack during a parade in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

Making a post on X (Formerly Twitter) propaganda account @TacticalTribun wrote, “Kashmiri Fighters have killed Indian forces Subedar Raja Ram Gurjar in IIOJK. 16 soldiers have been killed in first two weeks of 2025 and 5 critically injured still Indian COAS has the audacity to claim normalcy in IOK.”

The truth behind the claims about Subedar Raja Ram Gurjar, Fact Check 

As soon as the posts containing the claims made by propagandists came to our attention. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis regarding the claims. We found that these claims were false and self-invented.

To verify the claims made by propagandists. We performed relevant keyword searches and found a report regarding the demise of Raja Ram Gurjar. According to the report, Subedar passed away due to a heart attack during a parade in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

Additionally, as of 16 January 2025, no soldier fatalities have occurred in terrorist incidents in Kashmir this year. Instead, as per reports (1, 2),four soldiers tragically lost their lives in a military vehicle accident in Bandipora.

Therefore, it is evident from verified sources that Subedar Raja Ram passed away from a heart attack. Nothing to do with the terrorist attack.

Intent

Propagandists are circulating false and fabricated claims about the Indian Army to set their narrative to divert attention from the TTP targeting the Pakistan Army.
