FACT: Misleading news spreading about Karimganj. Fact is Sambhu Koiri a Bajrang Dal Activist was brutally stabbed to death in Assam on January 8 by an assailant. The murder took place in Lowairpoa town in Patharkandi subdivision of Karimganj district. Sambhu Koiri was returning home from a 3-day Bajrang Dal training camp in neighboring Hailakandi district when he was attacked. Animul Haque has been arrested in connection with the murder of Sambhu Koiri. And Anticipating “disturbance” Karimganj district administration in Assam has imposed Section 144 in parts of the district.

INTENT: Religious extremists are showing Animul Haque as an innocent victim and trying to defend the murderer and prioritized religion over crime
