Churachandpur, Manipur — Old Video Of Manipur Violence Circulated as Miscreants Target Military Base: Fact-Check 

Pakistanis have circulated an old video depicting demolished structures along with false allegations that freedom fighters destroyed and blew up a crucial Indian Army military base.

@JavaidShaikh14 made the same claim in a twitter post that the important Indian military base of the Indian Army was blown up by the freedom fighters. The video shows all the destroyed structures.The post was made on Feb 1, 2024, which has received an about more than 8k views on X. The archive can be read from above.

What is the Actual Truth About this Incident? : Fact

These images are reportedly old photos from the Manipur unrest. Recent events or the Indian Army base are unrelated to this.

We visited NDTV, which posted the same visuals in a 1 minute and 12 second video with the headline “History Of Ethnic Conflict In Manipur”. It was posted on June 1, 2023. This shows that the video has no relation to the Indian Army base at all.
