Old Video Of Stranded Indian Man in Saudi Arabia Resurfaced With False Claims: Fact-Check 

There is a video circulating that purports to show an Indian driver crying after being burned after forcing his sponsor’s wife to have sex with him, which resulted in him getting the AIDS virus. The driver is shown requesting the Indian government to assist him.

@id09X tweeted “An Indian driver cries after being burned after forcing his sponsor’s wife to have sex with her, which led to him contracting the AIDS virus. He appeals to the government of India to intervene to save the Indians after the outbreak of the virus among Indians in Saudi Arabia The virus harmed Indian families, so the Indian government required a medical examination for those returning from Saudi Arabia” and shared the video on Feb 16, 2024. The tweet has received an about 2M views on X, contributing to the spread of the information.

In actuality, this video depicts an Indian worker in Saudi Arabia pleading with the Indian government for assistance after experiencing hardships and not being compensated for the work he did in 2017, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is also unrelated to sexual health or obscene acts.
