Several other accounts, including @AlFarisEmirati, @GullalaiKhan5, @swyxy4484, @AsianDigest, @ownthoughts_24, @alonsoviet, iMariaRachel made the same claim that the foreign female tourist was sexually harassed on camera in India by some men. What is the Actual Truth About this Incident? : Fact
The truth is that these assertions are wholly made up and fraudulent. The video was originally shared by a Chinese user, and it has been mirrored, modified, and features Chinese text with blurred backgrounds. The Chinese account silently removed the video when it got viral and was taken up by propaganda accounts that were anti-Indian.
The girl in the video is an IRL Twitch streamer named “Sushipotato,” who has a history of experiencing harassment in public during livestreams. We conducted more investigation to confirm the incident.The 2020 video has nothing to do with India or Indians in it. We visited sportskeeda, which wrote about this on August 22, 2021 with the heading “Twitch streamer harassed on livestream as stranger forces her hand off her chest”. The Japanese IRL Twitch streamer can often been seen walking in Japan in the streets interacting with strangers while livestreaming. She was seen harassed in her previous livestreams also. The article says, once the fan tried to grope her while she was just vibing on a song. In another incident, Sushipotato covered her chest when three male fans asked her for a photo. When one of them asked her to remove the hand, she refused it. And furthermore, another man tried to grab her hand and remove her hands. Another time, a person tried to grope her when she sat with the person and were vibing to a song, There are series of incidents that happened to her before in a similar way, but none of them are related to India.
We looked into it in great detail. After paying great attention, we noticed the word “TOHO” in the background and discovered that the video was shot near TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku in Tokyo, Japan. The video was uploaded in Youtube on March 17, 2022.
