A Cropped Video of AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) Leader Atishi Marlena on social media platforms was shared in which she can be heard saying from today, the subsidised electricity given to the people of Delhi will be stopped. This means from tomorrow, the subsidised bills will not be given.

As soon as the short video of Atishi Marlena came to our knowledge, We conducted research and found that this is an old video and has been cropped. The longer version of the video is available on several media outlets such as ANI and ABP News.

In the longer version of the video the AAP leader says. “From today, the subsidized electricity given to the people of Delhi will be stopped. This means from tomorrow, the subsidized bills will not be given. This subsidy is stopped because AAP govt has taken the decision to continue subsidy for the coming year. But that file is with Delhi LG and till the file doesn’t come back. AAP govt cannot release the subsidised bill”. This video of the AAP leader is from April 2023 and has nothing to do with General Elections 2024.
