On July 31, Ismail Haniyeh, a prominent leader of the Palestinian militant group Hamas was assassinated in Iran. Where he had been attending the swearing-in ceremony of Iran’s new President, Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran. Subsequently, Pakistan-based anti-India propaganda accounts are circulating self-invented stories with the claim that the Indian embassy in Tehran was involved in the killing of Ismail Haniyeh. Serial fake news peddler, Pakistan-based anti-India propaganda account @PSYWAROPS has made a post on X(Formerly Twitter) and said. “Iranian Official Claims, Indian Embassy Tehran Aided Israelis in Ismail Haniyeh Assassination.” As of now, the post has received more than 103k views, 800 likes and significant numbers of engagements.
Another Pakistan-based account Faheem Khan (@fk__ar ) has also made a post on X and wrote, Iranian Official Claims, Indian Embassy Tehran Aided Israelis in Ismail Haniyeh Assassination. Its means that India is also helping Israel to kill Muslim leaders and Muslims.

Our thorough research yielded no credible or verified reports suggesting India’s involvement in the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Iran. Despite scouring various reliable sources and intelligence reports, we found no evidence to substantiate these claims.
According to media reports(Reuters , Al-Jazeera, BBC) Senior Hamas official Khalil Al-Hayya said. Haniyeh was killed by a missile that hit him “directly” in a state guest house where he was staying.
Meanwhile, Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, made no claims of responsibility for the assassination and declined to comment on the incident.
