As soon as the posts containing the sensitive video and claims came to our notice, we conducted research and found that this is an old video from Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia where the young boy assaulted his sister for leaving their sick mother to meet her boyfriend.
To verify the claims made by the users. We did a reverse image search of some key frames from the viral video on Google, leading us to several media reports containing the same video.
According to the media reports (1, 2, 3), this is an old video from Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, where the boy thrashed his sister for leaving a bedridden sick mother to meet her boyfriend. The disturbing video came to light in October 2022. It has nothing to do with a romantic relationship, both the accused and victim were siblings.
