A video showing a long-range MLRS Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) firing been shared claiming that China has deployed and tested a next-generation rocket system in the Ladakh region, near the Indian border. However, these claims are false and lack credible evidence. No official reports have confirmed such developments. In fact, India and China are actively working to ease border tensions.

Sharing the video on X (Formerly Twitter) serial fake news peddler and propagandist account @Defence_PK99 wrote. “BREAKING: China has tested an advanced long-range MLRS near Ladakh, capable of striking New Delhi and targets beyond”.

Another propaganda account @TacticalTribun also made a post and wrote, “China has fired a next-generation Rocket System in Ladakh, close to Indian borders. The Rocket covers all Indian positions along LAC.”

The truth behind the claims about long-range MLRS, Fact Check

As soon as the posts containing the visuals and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis of the video and claims and found no verified, credible sources supporting these claims.

To verify the claims made by the users. We performed a reverse image search of some key frames from the viral video using Google Lens but couldn’t find any source of the video. Furthermore, we performed relevant keyword searches and found no credible sources supporting these claims. No official reports have confirmed such developments.

During research, we found that India and China are actively working to ease border tensions. Both nations have agreed to engage in peaceful dialogue, and Indian special representatives are currently in China for bilateral discussions aimed at strengthening relations and ensuring stability in the region. Misinformation like this disrupts ongoing peace efforts.

Therefore, it is evident from D-Intent Data’s Fact Check that the claims made by propagandists are false and fabricated.
