In recent days, several Pakistani propaganda accounts have been spreading false, fabricated, self-invented claims suggesting that Indonesia has cancelled its Rafale deal with France’s Dassault Aviation due to recent tensions between India- Pakistan.
One such account, @rkmtimes, posted:
“BREAKING 🚨🔥 Indonesia reportedly cancels its purchase of French Rafale jets after Pakistani J-10C fighter jets shot down multiple Indian jets.”

Another account, @bolitics_bo, amplified the same false claim by posting:
Breaking 🚨
🇮🇩 Indonesia is planning to cancel the Rafale fighter 🛩️ jet deal with 🇫🇷 France and is going to buy the 🇨🇳 Chinese J-20 fighter jet.

Another Influencer account, @Defence_Index shared the following post:
BREAKING: After Pakistan Air Force shot down three Indian Rafales, Indonesia suspends purchase of 42 Rafales from France — a major setback for Dassault Aviation.

Several other users including @TacticalTribun, @hummer057, and @worldwar_3__ have also circulated this misleading narrative using similar wording and intent.
Truth Check: Indonesia Has NOT Canceled Rafale Deal with France:
When this post came to our attention, the D-Intent Data Team launched a thorough investigation by examining official government statements, global defense news sources, and the latest updates from Dassault Aviation. Our findings clearly confirm that there is no cancellation—Indonesia’s Rafale deal remains fully intact. Dassault Aviation has publicly stated that it will begin delivering the first batch of 42 Rafale jets to Indonesia in early 2026, in accordance with the agreement signed in 2022. No credible reports or confirmations from any official source—French, Indonesian, or otherwise—indicate any reconsideration or cancellation due to India-Pakistan tensions. In fact, the @Dassault_OnAir Twitter account recently reaffirmed the deal, quoting CEO Éric Trappier, who welcomed Indonesia’s interest in an additional batch of Rafales, with the initial deliveries set for early 2026.
« I welcome Indonesia’s intent to consider an additional batch of #Rafale » declared Éric Trappier, Chairman & CEO of Dassault Aviation, alongside the French President during his state visit to Indonesia, a future Rafale user. First deliveries (42 ordered) set for early 2026 🇮🇩🇫🇷
