False Claim: Iran has not arrested 73 Indian spies — it’s Pakistani propaganda.

Pakistan-based propaganda accounts are spreading false claims that Iran has arrested 73 Indian spies for spying for Israel. These claims are completely baseless and have no backing from any credible or official source. Many social media accounts @Defence_PK99, @SAChroniclesX, and @Globalrepport have posted this misleading claim, attempting to fuel anti-India sentiment amid heightened geopolitical tensions.

Several accounts @sumonkais, @_FaridKhan, @Tiju0Prakash, @IranUrduNew, @DI313_ shared misleading statements that quickly went viral across social media platforms.

Despite this, some media outlets irresponsibly amplified the false claim without verification.

A screenshot used in one of the posts shows a timestamp of 11:47 AM (PKT), which aligns with 12:17 PM IST, revealing a 30-minute time difference that corresponds to Pakistan Standard Time. While this timestamp could also match Maldives Standard Time, that is highly unlikely. The same account was previously involved in spreading fake news against India during Operation Sindoor.
