Pakistan-based propaganda accounts are circulating a digitally altered video of Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi. They falsely claim he said losing equipment is worse than losing soldiers and allege Pakistan destroyed four Rafale jets and targeted an Indian S-400 system with a hypersonic missile. These claims are completely fake. In the original video, General Dwivedi made no such statement.
A propaganda account @InsiderWB and another account @bankay_mian62 posted this clip, captioning that “India will never forget the destruction of its Rafale aircraft and S-400. We had already said when we do it, the whole world will tell.”

Truth: Original Video Shows No Mention of Rafales or S-400 by Army Chief
As this claim gained traction, it drew our attention. The D-Intent Data Team investigated using keyword research and credible sources. Our findings led us to NDTV Profit YouTube channel, which uploaded the original video titled “War Is Always Unpredictable: Army Staff Chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi on Operation Sindoor.”
Further, ANI News covered his remarks at the AIMA National Management Convention. On its official X account @ANI, ANI posted a clip quoting General Dwivedi “War is always unpredictable… low-cost, high-technology can beat back a superior adversary.” At no point did he say that equipment is more valuable than soldiers. Nor did he mention Rafales, S-400 systems, or Pakistani hypersonic missiles. The viral clip is digitally manipulated and misleading.
