Fact Check: A scripted video of a deceased woman opening her eyes circulated as a real-life situation 

A video circulating online claims to show a deceased woman in a coffin opening her eyes during a funeral, leading many to believe it is a real-life incident. However, this claim is false. The video is scripted and has no connection to any real events. It was intentionally created for entertainment purposes by content creator Arman Gatdula Macasusi.

Sharing the video on X (Formerly Twitter) @yourishaaa_ wrote, “Isn’t it scary??”. The video caption reads, “Deceased woman’s eyes open at the funeral”

Several other users and Influencers have also disseminated the video and made similar claims. Their posts can be seen here, @ronakgotnochill, @hodophile1327

The truth about the viral video of deceased woman opening her eyes, Fact Check 

As soon as the posts containing the video and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis of the video and found that the video was not a real-life situation but scripted content.

To verify the claims made by the users. We performed a reverse image search of some key frames from the viral video using Google Lens. This led us to a Facebook post containing the same visuals. The video was posted by Arman Gatdula Macasusi who is a content creator and uploads such scripted videos frequently.

We also found the second part of the video in which the deceased woman was screaming at the people around the coffin.

Therefore, it is evident from D-Intent Data’s Fact Check that the video was not a real-life situation but scripted content.
