Truth about the video of a truck burning on the road, Fact Check
As soon as the posts made by Pakistan-based anti-India propaganda accounts came to our knowledge. We conducted research and found that the truck caught fire due to a short circuit in the cabin. And the truck doesn’t belong to the Indian Army.
According to reports, A food grain-laden truck caught fire due to a short circuit at Janghi Morh area of Batote on the old alignment of Jammu Srinagar National Highway Thursday afternoon. As per the report, the Police sources said a truck bearing registration number JK02AD-8393 carrying a consignment of FCI, food grains (rice) towards Doda from Jammu caught fire due to a short circuit in the cabin of the vehicle. No casualty was reported in the incident. The truck was loaded with FCI ration. And was heading to Doda when it caught fire due to an electric short circuit in the wiring.
The Indian Army does not use such commercial trucks. Moreover, Upon checking the vehicle number JK02AD-8393, it was found that the owner of the truck is Jaspal Singh, not an Army vehicle.
Hence, it is evident from D-Intent Data’s Fact Check that the truck caught fire due to a short circuit in the cabin. Neither is this an Indian Army truck nor has it been targeted by militants.
