Several users on X (Formerly Twitter) have shared the video. And claimed that a Muslim man was caught red-handed mixing urine instead of salt to make popcorn.
Serial fake news peddler @ajaychauhan41 has shared the video on X(Formerly Twitter) and said. โThe peace-loving owner of a popcorn stall in Bengaluru was caught red-handed making popcorn using urine instead of salt!โ.
Self-proclaimed OSINT and fake news peddler RealBababanaras has also shared the video and claimed that. โReportedly “The peaceful owner” of a popcorn stall was caught red-handed making popcorn with urine instead of salt!โ. He later deleted the post.
@trunicle has also posted the video with the caption, โBengaluru: A muslim vendor was caught selling popcorn made using his urine to add salt like flavour.People have been eating his urinated popcorn for yearsโ.
Sharing the video @Modified_Hindu9 has said, “The peace-loving owner of a popcorn stall in Bengaluru was caught red-handed making popcorn using urine instead of salt!โ

Unraveling the Truth: Bengaluru Popcorn Vendor False Accusation Explained
As soon as the video came to our knowledge, we tried to find if the claims are true or false. We did a reverse image search of some key frames from the viral video on Google . And found a media report containing the same visuals. As per the media reports this is an old video from Bengaluru where a popcorn seller, was arrested on charges of spitting into an oil pan at Lalbagh on June 11, 2022.
Further investigation revealed that the man had been arrested in a false case. According to โThe Hinduโ, during investigation it was revealed that the accused was tearing open the oil packet with his teeth to pour oil into the pan, and he did not spit into the food. However, passers-by created a ruckus and demanded his arrest. The vendor was identified as Nawaz Pasha.
The accused said. “I was peeling off the plastic seal from the bottle of oil and holding the peel in my mouth. When the person who accused me started creating a ruckus and accused me of spitting into the oil pan thrice. I told him to get it tested and pleaded innocence, but he insisted that I be arrested and did not even come to the station to file a complaint.
The viral video is old and the accused was arrested on the charges of spitting into the oil pan. Later, it was revealed that the accused was tearing open the oil packet with his teeth to pour oil into the pan. And he did not spit into the food.
