The truth behind the claims about Israeli Defence Minister, Fact Check

As soon as the posts containing the claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis regarding the claims and found that no such incident occurred.

To verify the claims made by the users. We performed a relevant keyword search on Google and different social media platforms, but couldn’t find verified sources supporting the claims. During research, we found a news report about Yoav Gallant’s conversation with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. The report was published after the Iranian attack on Israel.

According to the report, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin spoke with Defense Minister Yoav Gallant shortly after Iran’s missile attack on Israel, Pentagon spokesperson Pat Ryder says during a briefing.

Moreover, we found several tweets (1, 2, 3) on his timeline after the Iranian attack on Israel. In his first tweet after the attack he said, I spent this evening in the command and control center together with senior defense officials, closely watching the IDF’s successful defense against the Iranian missile attack on Israel. Iran has not learned a simple lesson – those who attack the State of Israel, pay a heavy price.

Therefore, it is evident from verified sources that the claims about the killing of Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant are nothing but propaganda against Israel.
