A video showing Raj Singh Shekhawat, the national president of the Kshatriya Karni Sena, being detained by police is being circulated with the claim that he was attacked by the public after offering a cash reward of ₹1 crore 11 lakh 11 thousand 111 to any police officer who kills gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in an encounter. However, the truth is that this is an old video from a protest in Gujarat in April 2024, unrelated to his recent remarks about Lawrence Bishnoi.
Sharing the video on X (Formerly Twitter) @XSecular_ wrote. “The person who announced Rs. 1 crore 11 lakh 11 thousand 111 for the Vishnoi encounter was given the full amount by the public”.

The truth about the viral video, Fact Check
As soon as the posts containing the video and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis of the video. And found that the video was old and unrelated to any recent event.
To verify the claims made by the users. We performed a reverse image search of some key frames from the viral video on Google Lens. This led us to several media reports containing the same visuals published in April 2024. According to the reports(1, 2, 3), this video is from where Raj Singh Shekhawat was detained by Police from outside the Ahmedabad airport on April 9 ahead of his visit to the State BJP headquarters. He was protesting against Parshottam Rupala for his controversial remarks about the Rajputs.
Therefore, it is evident from verified sources that the viral video was not recent and he was not assaulted by the public. But an old video from April 2024.
