Fact Check: Video of Police parading miscreants in Bhopal shared with misleading claims

A video circulating widely on social media claims to show members of the Muslim community inciting violence with abusive language and sharp weapons, followed by their public parade as punishment by the police. However, these claims are false. Reports confirm that the individuals in the video have been identified as Akash Gajbi, Uday Sarathe, Akash Soni, Nitesh Jat, Lucky Sen, Jai Rawat, and Hrithik Valmiki—none of whom belong to the Muslim community.

Sharing the video on X (Formerly Twitter) propaganda account @RealBababanaras wrote. “Abdul and gang made a video with swords and threatened, abused & challenged administration. A Day after Police made a video”.

The truth about the video of police parading miscreants, Fact Check 

As soon as the posts containing the video and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis of the video. We found that the video was not related to Muslim individuals, but different miscreants.

To verify the claims made by the users. We performed a reverse image of some key frames from the viral video using Google Lens. This led us to several media reports containing the same visuals. According to the reports, (1, 2, 3), the individuals involved have been identified as Akash Gajbi, Uday Sarathe, Akash Soni, Nitesh Jat, Lucky Sen, Jai Rawat, and Hrithik Valmiki—none of whom are Muslim. The procession was carried out by the TT Nagar police station in Bhopal and has no connection to the Muslim community.

Therefore, it is evident from verified sources that the video was not related to Muslim individuals. The miscreants were identified as Akash Gajbi, Uday Sarathe, Akash Soni, Nitesh Jat, Lucky Sen, Jai Rawat, and Hrithik Valmiki—none of whom are Muslim.
