A disturbing video showing a group of young men harassing a female dance performer is being shared online with the claim that the incident took place in India. The clip is being circulated to create outrage and portray the situation as a reflection of Indian society. However, this claim is false the video is actually from Nepal.
The false claim was amplified by social media user @LibsHateUs, who shared the video with the caption, “I’m glad we’re importing these people by the millions across the West.🤡”

Another account, @tribalvibes2, posted the same clip but deleted it shortly afterward. Both accounts attempted to use the video to push misleading narratives and provoke unnecessary outrage.
Truth: The Viral Video Originates From Nepal, Not India
As the false claim gained traction on social media, it drew our attention. The D-Intent Data Team conducted a detailed frame-by-frame image research and keyword research. Our findings led us to the Instagram account @nepali____tharuni______143, where both Part 1 and Part 2 of the video were originally posted with the location clearly tagged as Nepal. Furthermore, we traced the text seen on the wall in the background—”जनजागरण कृषि सहकारी सं. लि.”—to a Nepali organization named जनजागरण कृषि सहकारी संस्था लिमिटेड, which also maintains an online presence at apms.pokharakrishi.com.

This confirms without doubt that the incident occurred in Nepal and has no connection to India.
