Fact Check: Viral Video of Israeli Strike on Iran Is AI-Generated

A dramatic video showing a massive explosion in a densely populated urban area is being widely shared across social media. It is being claimed that the footage shows a real Israeli strike on Iran Arak nuclear facility, allegedly linked to the ongoing tensions between the two nations. However, we found that the video is not real it is an AI-generated clip.

An user, @antfadt, posted the video with the caption:

“Israeli attack on Iran’s Arak reactor.”

Another @alertarojanot posted this clip with this claim:

Ataque israelí al reactor de Arak en Irán (Israeli attack on the Arak reactor in Iran)

Propagandist account @sumonkais also post this claiming that is the real and actual incident of Israeli attack on Iran’s.

Several other users @iamSaharEmami@idobata_station @yakalahaber @TehraanNews @mypersia1_ @KoubaReda @DonaldTrumpAOCC and @israelnewspulse reposted the same clip, reinforcing the false narrative and amplifying the misleading claim without any source verification.

Truth: Israeli strike on Iran video was AI generated

As the video gained traction on social media, it caught our attention. The D Intent data team conducted a full investigation. A frame-by-frame analysis was conducted, and the footage was run through AI detection tools. Our findings confirm that the video is not real. It is an AI-generated creation. The clip was originally uploaded by Cemil Aciyan on TikTok and YouTube—both platforms where this creator is known for regularly sharing AI-generated content. Importantly, the creator himself had labeled the video as AI-generated. But after some time, he deleted the AI videos from his TikTok channel, though they can still be seen on YouTube.

Our investigation confirmed that the video is AI-generated and is not related to any real-world attack.

Intent:

Influencers are circulating AI-generated videos with self-invented claims to set their narrative over the ongoing tensions.
