In that case, a boy harassed his girlfriend, and both he and his two friends were subsequently arrested. The video’s resurgence as a recent case is misleading and incorrect.

They should be punished in such a way that no one else does such a thing in future”. The post has received more than 2 Million views and a significant number of engagements.

As soon as the posts containing the sensitive video of a boy harassing a girl came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis of the video and found that this is not a recent case of woman harassment. But an old video of a boyfriend harassing his girlfriend in Andhra Pradesh.
To verify the claims made by the users. We performed a reverse image search of some key frames from the viral video on Google Lens. This led us to media reports containing the same visuals published in 2017. According to the media reports(1, 2). This incident occurred in Andhra Pradesh’s Prakasam district where a boyfriend harassed his girlfriend in September 2017.
According to the police, the girl and her friend had gone to a temple to meet the accused man, B Sai, whom she had reportedly known for over a year. Among those arrested is Karthik, who was close friends with the student earlier but was reportedly upset about her new relationship. It was he who instigated Sai to assault the student and film the act. Three accused were arrested in this case.
Therefore, it is evident from verified sources that the viral video of a man harassing a girl is not recent. But an old video from 2017.
