ANALYSIS: Misleading
FACT: A video is being circulated on social media with misleading claim , in which some religious sentences can be seen on the top of a screen displaying trains schedule. The video is being shared with the claim that this is done by Railways authorities themselves. If you watch the video carefully you will find अणुव्रत समिति ग्रेटर सूरत (Anuvrat Samiti Greater Surat) written on the screen.Upon research we found their Facebook page, after visiting their timeline we found same display board’s video which was uploaded in 2021. The board is given to railway from the NGO to help out people waiting outside the railway station. The board generally display awareness, on some rare occasions it shows welcome and greetings messages too.
INTENT: Users sharing out of context video with false claim to create communal disharmony among religious groups in the country.
