Fact:A news media channel called ” Mooknayak” shared a video on his Twitter account in which a man who is interviewed said that the victim was beaten to death for touching Godess Durga’s feet. The video is scripted and edited, as the person interviewed initially stated that the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment, but he later changed his statement to say that victim died at home. whereas, according to the police, the victim, who is now deceased, went to see the Durga pandal nearby on his bike, two prime accused asked for a lift but he refused, later both the men beat him with a stick and later he died in hospital.

Intent:Few foreign-funded news portals and social media users are tactically spreading such news of accidents with religious overtones or fake information attached in order to create a negative image of India.
