FACT: A misleading news about Former Chief Minister of J&K Farooq Abdullah is being circulated. Users sharing the news with a quote “I am not a Muslim, I am a Kashmiri Saraswati Pandit. ~ Farooq Abdullah”, actually this is an old news from 2014 Farooq Abdullah said “I’m not a Muslim but a kashmiri Saraswati pandit who converted to Islam years ago from a kashmiri Brahmin. Kashmiri Muslim are actually descendant of kashmiri pandits only”. He made the statement when he visited Pragati maidan to publish a children’s book in kashmiri language,2014.
