A Jalgaon murder case video fact-check reveals that footage showing injured policemen after a mob attack in Maharashtra has been circulated with false communal claims. The video, which depicts a group of injured policemen inside a room, has gone viral with misleading assertions that the accused is Muslim and that the attackers belonged to the Muslim community. D-Intent Data’s investigation shows that these claims are unfounded and there is no communal angle to the incident.
Video disseminated with communal claims about Jalgaon Murder Case
As soon as the video came to our knowledge, we tried to find if the claims are true or false. During research we found several reports about the incident that occurred at a police station in Jalgaon, Maharashtra.
Sharing the video propaganda account on X (Formerly Twitter) @SonOfBharat7 has said. “35-year-old Hafiz Beg raped a 6-year-old innocent girl and then brutally murdered her. Maharashtra police who went to arrest Hafiz were attacked by the local Muslims with bricks, stones and sticks, 17 policemen were seriously injured. The mob said that raping a 6-year-old girl is justified. He later deleted the post.
Another account on X @lonewolf_oo7 has also shared the video and said. “Maharashtra’s Jalgaon district, #Jamner 35 year old Hafiz Beg raped killed a 6 year old girl. At least 14 police personnel were injured after a group of persons allegedly pelted them with stones demanding the custody of a man, who was arrested for sexually assaulting and killing”.

Jalgaon Murder Case Video Fact-Check: Separating Truth from Communal Propaganda
During research D-Intent Data has found several news reports about the incident that occurred at a police station in Jalgaon, Maharashtra.
According to reports,(asianage, telegraphindia) at least 14 policemen were injured while trying to save a rape accused from mob lynching. The incident took place in a tribal village of Jalgaon district on Thursday night after the police arrested a man accused of rape and murder of a six-year-old girl. The accused was absconding for days after committing the heinous crime.
When the villagers learnt about the arrest. They surrounded the police station and demanded that the accused should be handed over to them. Subsequently they attacked the police station in which policemen on duty were injured.
Around 10 days ago, a six-year-old girl belonging to Bhil community from Schedule Tribe (ST) was raped and murdered in a village of Jalgaon district. The accused has been identified as Subhash Bhil (35), who was the neighbour of the victim. The accused and victim both belonged to the same tribal community.
Jalgaon Police organised a peace meeting to maintain law and order in which people from Bhil community were also present.
The accused of rape and murder was identified as 35-year-old Subhas Bhil. The policemen were attacked by the people belonging to Bhil community. Nothing to do with Muslim accused and Muslim community attacking the policemen.

Propaganda accounts are circulating sensitive visuals with false claims. And trying to set their narrative based on religion to create communal disharmony in the state.
Conclusion
Claim- 35-Year-old Hafiz Beg rape and murdered 6 years old girl in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. When police tried to arrest the accused, people belonging to Muslim community attacked the police and justified the crime.
Fact- The accused has been identified as Subhash Bhil, 35. And the policemen were attacked by people from the tribal Bhil community.
