Verified accounts on twitter, including Ali Sohrab (“@007AliSohrab“) tweeted “The incident took place in Gurukul of Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, the name of the Guru (teacher) seen in the viral video is Satish Acharya who is beating the student mercilessly. Police have registered an FIR against Satish Acharya and arrested him.” . The tweet was made on Nov 25, 2023, which has received an about 109.8k views on X.

This is an old video that shows a teacher/Acharya beating a child at a Gurukul in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh. According to the reports, the teacher beat up the child because he kept going back to his home. Action was taken against the teacher. This incident is unrelated to caste.
