Khulna, Bangladesh —Bangladeshi Hindu Woman Raped And Her Home Looted By Extremist Muslims? Fact-Check

There is false information going around claiming that extremists belonging to Muslim community in Khulna, Bangladesh, raped a recentlywed Hindu woman from Bangladesh and stole from her home.

Verified accounts on twitter, including Pakistan Untold (“@pakistan_untold“) tweeted “Another Bangladeshi Hindu woman r@ped by Islamists.” on Dec 15, 2023. The tweet post has received an about 145k views on X.

Several other accounts, including Pak Un Fans (“@fansofpakuntold“) made the same claim that Newly married Hindu woman was raped and her home was looted by Islamists. The archive can be read from above.

What is the Actual Truth About this Incident? : Fact

The truth is that Dhiman Fauzdar, Govind Fauzdar, and Mithun Biswas have all been taken into custody by Khulna police. They acknowledged their role in the incident during the initial interrogation. It is not related to religion in any way. Furhter action is being taken. It indicates that the accused are Hindus rather than Muslims.
