Bihar— Coaching Teacher Trapped a Muslim Female Student And Married Her Without The Consent of Her Parents? Fact-Check

A couple in a video that appears to be getting married has gone viral, with the claim that a coaching teacher kidnapped a Muslim girl and married her without her parents’ permission.

Verified accounts on twitter, including @AfiaAnjums tweeted “Bihar: Jamui Teacher married his own Muslim student by trapping her in love trap Jai Prakash Verma, a teacher living in Jamui, trapped his own Muslim student Zainal in the trap of love. The girl was taken to the temple and married without the consent of her parents. #BhagwaLoveTrap #Bihar #Jamuni” on Jan 19, 2024. The tweet has received an about more than 2k views on X.

Several other accounts, including @Journo_Khalid, @Azmiboy00786, @INDIAMUSLIMPOS1 made the same claim that in order to marry Zeenat, a Muslim student, teacher Jai Prakash Verma trapped her into a love trap, carried her to a temple, and then married her in Bihar. The archive can be read from above.

The man says he dated the girl for five years, but she was never one of his coaching students. Jai Prakash claims that he spoke with Zenel when he first met her in Chakai. They both began to love each other over time and were eventually married.

These articles clarified about the incident in details, which shows that the claims made about the teacher and student are not true at all.
