No, This Bullet Penetrating Metal Pot is Not Fired By Haryana Police at Farmers: Fact-Check

According to a picture circulating online, which shows a bullet through a metal pot (Bhagona), it is being claimed that Haryana police fired the bullet at farmers who were participating in the ongoing farmers’ protest.

Several other accounts, including @RamdevSanwrad, @fizaiq, @Bornfor_Nation, @MadhusudanMaur8 made the same claim that a bullet penetrating a metal pot(Bhagona) is seen in the picture. What is the Actual Truth About the Incident? : Fact

The truth is that this picture was taken near the Bangladesh border with Myanmar, in Teknaf, where there have been reports of intense gunfire. Farmers’ protests are unrelated to this.

We visited 24onbd.com, which published an article on this incident on Feb 16, 2024 with the headline “This time the sound of gunfire on the border of Shahparir Dwip and Saint Martin in Teknaf”.

Propagandists are circulating images from the Bangladesh border claiming to be from farmers’ protests to set their agenda against the police administration. An image that features a bullet penetrating a metal pot(Bhagona) is being circulated,claiming that this bullet was fired by Haryana police at protesting farmers in the ongoing farmers’ protest. The truth is, there have been reports of heavy gunfire in Teknaf, near the Bangladeshi-Myanmar border. The protests of Farmers have nothing to do with it.
