Pictures of a building that is allegedly still under construction have surfaced, suggesting that a new mosque is being built in the village Ismailpur, Bijnor. 

@HariomBrar shared the pictures in a twitter post and claimed that a new mosque is being constructed in village Ismailpur, near police station Shivala Kalan, district Bijnor. The user added “please take immediate cognizance and take legal action to stop the construction so that there is no dispute.”. The tweet was made on March 5, 2024, which has received an about more than 1.5k views on X.

Police emphasised that the village head was constructing a house on private land. The claims are untrue and unsubstantiated. The claim that the pictures shows the new mosque is being built in in the village Ismailpur, Bijnor is absolutely not true at all.

The official account of @bijnorpolice tweeted “When the local police investigated on the spot, it was found that the village head was constructing a house on his land. Please do not spread rumors by posting misleading posts without verification.” on March 5, 2024.
