The Image Of a Female Passenger Standing in The Middle of a Metro Coach is From Egypt, Not Sweden: Fact-Check 

The photo, which purports to be from Malmö, Sweden, shows a female traveller standing in the centre of a metro coach while other passengers are relaxed and sitting comfortably in their seats.

Verified accounts on twitter, including @salwan_momika1 tweeted “This is not Iran, this is Malmö, Sweden, which is occupied by Islam.” and shared the picture of the lady standing in the middle of the metro coach. The tweet was made on March 12, 2024, which has received an about 127.6k views on X.

Several other accounts, including @hindu_1981, @realpeacenotwar, @RadioGenoa, @arifaajakia made the same claim that while others were comfortably relaxing in their seats in metro, a female passenger was standing in middle of a metro coach in Sweden’s Malmö. The archive can be read from above.

What is the Actual Truth About this Incident? : Fact

The posted image isn’t related to Sweden at all; it’s from Egypt. Images of the train coach that resembled Egypt Metro’s interior were discovered. There are no metro trains in Malmö. On the other hand, Öresund Metro, which will connect Copenhagen, Denmark, and Malmö, Sweden, is now under construction. The shared photo is from Egypt, not Malmö.

The article explains the eight advantages of the light electric train (LRT) project in Egypt. The picture attached in the article is from Egypt and not Malmö. oresundsmetro.com wrote about the The Öresund Metro, which is the metro connecting Malmö and Copenhagen, is the project for Sweden, Denmark, and Europe. The Öresund Metro between Copenhagen and Malmö further connects the Öresund region. The Metro contributes to the future needs for sustainable freight transport and long-distance connections to and from Europe. Simultaneously, it encourages green commuting and public transport in the Nordic countries’ largest labour market.

Influencers are circulating images from Egypt claiming to be from Sweden’s Malmö to set their narrative based on religion. An image that features a female passenger standing in the middle of a metro coach while other passengers are sitting comfortably in their seats has been shared, claiming to be from Sweden’s Malmö. It is a fact that the shared image is unrelated to Sweden and originates from Egypt. We discovered pictures of the train coach with Egypt Metro-like interior design. A metro train does not exist in Malmö. On the other hand, development on the Öresund Metro, which will connect Copenhagen, Denmark, and Malmö, Sweden, is underway. Egypt is the source of the shared photograph, not Malmö.
