AI-generated Image Showing Accident Between GMC Hummer EV and Tesla Cybertruck Has Gone Viral With False Claims: Fact-Check 

An AI-generated picture of a collision between a Tesla Cybertruck and a GMC Hummer EV has been circulated; the GMC Hummer EV appears unharmed while the Cybertruck is shown damaged.

Verified accounts on twitter, including @BalconesRoofing tweeted “CyberTrucks are ugly, cold, lifeless & dystopian. CHANGE MY MIND.” and shared the picture of the accident between GMC Hummer EV and Tesla Cybertruck. The tweet was made on March 11, 2024 The tweet has received an about more than 2k views on X.

Several other accounts, including @divya_gandotra made the same claim that the image is a real image which shows the accident becasuse of a collision between GMC Hummer EV and Tesla Cybertruck. The archive can be read from above.

What is the Actual Truth About this Incident? : Fact

We investigated and discovered that the same photo was posted on the “Hummer Club Russia” Instagram account, which frequently shares AI-generated media content. Reality has no effect with this shared image.

The photo was uploaded in Instagram on March 9, 2024. It can be seen that it is just an AI- generated image and nothing related to actuality. Hence, the claim that it is a real image that has surfaced online depicting a collision between a Tesla Cybertruck and a GMC Hummer EV is absolutely not true at all.

Our investigation turned up the exact same photo on the “Hummer Club Russia” Instagram account, which frequently posts artificial intelligence-generated media content. The shared perception is unrelated to reality.

Fact : Upon research we found the same image on an Instagram account named “Hummer Club Russia” which uploads AI-generated media content regularly. The shared image has nothing to do with reality.
