Verified accounts on twitter, including @DeepakSinghINC tweeted “On the holy festival of Navratri, a fish in one hand and a photo of Goddess Durga in the other! What will BJP friends say?” on April 14, 2024. The tweet has received an about 110.9k views on X.

Several other accounts, including @ImVipinPa29, @jassu_VoiceIND, @ASharmaINC made the same claim that Smriti Irani was seen holding a fish during the ongoing celebration of Chaitra Navaratri 2024. The archive can be read from above.
