According to a video of the altercation in which a woman is seen hitting a man with slippers,  it has been claimed that the BJP MLA was beaten up by people during the ongoing general election campaign.

@Katara4Chagan claimed the same regarding this incident in a twitter post. The user claimed that the BJP MLA was thrashed by some people during the ongoing general elections campaign. The tweet post was made on April 16, 2024. The tweet has received an about 157k views on X.

In actuality, this is an old footage from Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, where a woman beat HRTC Employees Union Leader Shankar Thakur with slippers during a meeting in June 2018. The video is not current and is unrelated to the BJP MLA or the current “General elections 2024”.
