These Women Are Not Naked, Here Is The Truth: Fact-Check 

A sensitive photo with two women wearing burqas and a gathering of naked women has been circulated as authentic.

Verified accounts on twitter, including @RadioGenoa tweeted the picture and wrote “How would you describe this photo?”. The twitter post was made on April 30, 2024, which has received an about 40k views on X.

Several other accounts, including @GarbageHuman23, @Zaira_Nizaam, @TRobinsonNewEra made the same claim that the picture shows two burqa-clad women and a gorup of naked women. The archive can be read from above.

What is the Actual Truth About this Incident? : Fact

It’s a fact that digital editing was done on this picture. In the original picture, the naked girls shown in the shared image are dressed in bikinis. We visited counter weights, which published an article on this incident on Oct 24, 2017 with the headline “There won’t be any NiqaBitch in Montreal protesting Quebec’s Bill 62 in 2017 the way there was in Paris in 2010, but ..”. It added “Two sources on the pros and cons of wearing particular Muslim headgear for those directly involved : (a) “Hijab, Niqab or Nothing” – a ?2008? CBC TV discussion chaired by Carole MacNeil and now on YouTube ; (b) Quebec women who’ve worn niqabs discuss province’s controversial neutrality bill (Morgan Lowrie at The Canadian Press).”. This shows that the claim is not true at all, it is a digitally altered photo.
