Pakistan’s ICUBE-Q Has successfully Landed On The Moon?

There are reports circulating from Pakistan that Pakistan’s ICUBE-Q has succeeded in reaching to the moon.

Verified accounts on twitter, including @_FaridKhan added “Breaking: Pakistan’s ICUBE-Q has successfully reached the moon. Congratulations, Pakistan. We did it” in a twitter post on May 9, 2024. The tweet has received an about 78.9k views on X.

What is the Actual Truth About this Incident? : Fact

These assertions are, in actuality, false and unfounded. The Chang’e 6 probe has effectively reached lunar orbit. It is anticipated that Chang’e 6 will land on June 2, 2024. It is not intended for ICUBE-Q to land on the moon; instead, it will orbit the moon for three to six months. We visited cnsa, which wrote about this on May 8, 2024 with the heading “The Chang’e-6 probe successfully implemented near-moon braking and smoothly entered lunar orbit”. At 10:12 Beijing time on May 8, under the precise control of the Beijing Aerospace Flight Control Center, the Chang’e-6 probe successfully implemented near-moon braking and smoothly entered lunar orbit. Near-moon braking is a key orbital control for the Chang’e-6 probe during its flight. When the Chang’e-6 probe flies near the moon, it applies the “brakes” to make its relative speed lower than the moon’s escape velocity, so that it is captured by the moon’s gravity and achieves orbiting the moon.

Pakistani accounts are circulating false claims about China’s lunar mission to get the spotlight on social media. Pakistani accounts are circulating news claiming that Pakistan’s ICUBE-Q has successfully reached the moon. Actually, these assertions are unfounded and fraudulent. The Chang’e 6 probe has made it into lunar orbit. Chang’e 6 is scheduled to land on June 2, 2024. Although it isn’t meant to land on the moon, ICUBE-Q will orbit the moon for three to six months.

Conclusion:

Fact : The fact is these claims are fake and baseless. The Chang’e 6 probe has successfully entered the lunar orbit. The landing of Chang’e 6 is expected to 2 June 2024. ICUBE-Q will spend three to six months orbiting the moon; it is not supposed to land on the moon.
