A video purporting to depict a group of men and women fighting has gone viral, spreading the false impression that priests at Vindhyavasini Devi Temple in Mirzapur are beating up devotees who came from outisde.

Several other accounts, including @ManojSh28986262, @iShashiShekhar made the same claim that priests at Vindhyavasini Devi Temple in Mirzapur are beating devotees who entered the temple from the outside. The archive can be read from above.

The truth is that store owners compete with one another for clients, according to the police. So, the claim that devotees from outside are being thrashed by priests at Mirzapur’s Vindhyavasini Devi Temple is not true at all.
