Recently a disturbing, sensitive video of brutal murder has surfaced on social media platforms that claims that a Pakistani Hindu man killed in Sindh, Pakistan helplessly lying on the ground and being shot repeatedly in his chest by the assailants.
The video is from Pakistan’s Hafizabad and is making rounds on social media with the claim that a Pakistani Hindu man killed in Sindh, Pakistan.
The Video Disseminated with Misleading Claims
Several users are circulating the sensitive video of the brutal murder of a man in Pakistan with the claim that a Pakistani Hindu man killed by radical Islamists in Sindh, Pakistan.
An account named RealBababanaras posted the video on X(Twitter) with the claim that “Reportedly a Pakistani Hindu brutally killed by radical Islamists in Sindh, Pakistan.” He has also used #AllEyesOnPakistaniHindus hashtag in his post/tweet. The post link can be accessed here (Archived)
Another user named @LogicLitLatte has posted the same video and said “Arfa, Rana, Sayema, and Swara, Bollywood celebrities who start crying when Israel kills Hamas terrorists in Gaza, will they speak for this Pakistani? Salman Momika who is known for his anti-Muslim stance has also posted the video and said “Those who started crying when #Israel kills Hamas terrorists in Gaza, will they speak on behalf of this Indian-Pakistani? Research, Analysis and Fact-
As soon as the video came to our knowledge, we tried to find out if the claims are true or false. We did a reverse image search of some key frames from the viral video on Google and found a post/tweet (archived) including the same video. The post was made by an Islamabad-based journalist named Azhar Syed, from the post we got to know that the victim’s name is Anwar Mallah, we dug the incident further to verify the claims made by the journalist.
We found a news report published by Pakistan-based media Geo TV Urdu (Archived ) As per the report, the deceased has been identified as Anwar Mallah, who was shot dead by his opponent group. The deceased had an enmity with Amir Malah. This incident is from the Chah Chora area of Hafizabad, Pakistan.
According to the police, the accused fled after the shooting, so far no accused has been arrested, but raids are being conducted to arrest the accused. Hence the victim’s name is Anwar Mallah and does not belong to Hindu community.
