FACT: A news is being circulated claiming that six mosques were covered with tarpaulin ahead of Holi in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh, in order to ensure it is not smeared with colour and being attacked. Almost every media outlet reported the news.Some of them projected it as Hindus target the religious place by throwing colours.But they hide the fact -people from all communities play Holi around the religious places of Aligarh, and no incident reported that people targeted mosques during HoliPeople of all communities live peacefully and celebrate Holi together here.Masjid administration never mentioned doing this to safeguard from Hindus only.
