Pakistan-based anti-India propaganda networks are circulating unfounded allegations that 94 Indian soldiers were hospitalized after a border clash with Bangladeshi forces. These claims are entirely false and lack any factual basis. The incident in question, which took place on Saturday in Sukhdevpur, Malda, involved a dispute between Indian and Bangladeshi farmers near the border, not military personnel.
Making a post on X (Formerly Twitter) serial fake news peddler and propagandist account @NavCom24 wrote, “BREAKING: Just in, 94 Indian soldiers hospitalized after today’s border clash with Bangladeshi forces”

Another fake news peddler propagandist account @SAnPerspective also shared visuals from the clash and wrote, “JUST IN: Bangladeshi people beat up Indian soldiers who crossed the border and tried to threaten them at Kiranganj border of Shibganj.”

The truth behind the claims about Indian soldiers, Fact Check
As soon as the posts containing the visuals and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis regarding the incident. We found that the clash was related to Indian and Bangladeshi farmers, and no security personnel were injured.
To verify the claims made by propagandists. We performed relevant keyword searches and found multiple reports regarding the border clash between the farmers of the two countries. According to reports (1, 2), the incident in question occurred in Sukhdevpur, Malda, where Indian and Bangladeshi farmers clashed at the border. The dispute arose over crop theft by Bangladeshi farmers and accusations from the Bangladeshi side that Indians had crossed over to cut down their mango trees. Importantly, the clash was not related to the security forces between the two countries.
Therefore, it is evident from verified sources that a clash erupted between the farmers of the two countries. Nothing to do with military clash.
