FACT:A photo is being circulated on social media with misleading claim that crowds queueing up at the #BankOfBaroda Al Ain Branch, UAE to close their accounts, after the statement by its CEO Sanjiv Chadha, that bank will still fund Adani companies But fact is the Bank is closing its branch in Al Ain and transferring accounts maintained there to its Abu Dhabi branch. The spokesperson clarified that the decision to shut the branch was taken a year ago,and a notice was issued to customers last month regarding the closure The bank urged to public not to believe in ‘misleading and false information’ being spread on social media.
INTENT: Anti-India lobby spreading images with false claim to target Bank of Baroda, trying to mislead customers by creating panic.
