FACT: A news from Kashmir valley is being circulated with the claim that people were not allowed to offer prayers at religious places during Shab-e-Barat. But fact is that people in J&K offered Shab-e-Barat Prayers across the state peacefully. Deputy commissioner Ajaz Asad told news channels that “I don’t have issued any order on authorities to disallow Shab-e-Barat Prayers at Jamia Masjid. Numerous Kashmiri account even posted video celebrating Shab-e-Barat.

INTENT: Religious extremists and political influencers spreading false news on the auspicious occasion to mislead people in Kashmir valley.
