Pakistani propaganda accounts are circulating a digitally manipulated video of India’s Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Upendra Dwivedi. The video falsely claims that he admitted India lost six fighter jets during Operation Sindoor and said future wars would require better strategies to protect the Indian Air Force. This claim is completely false and fabricated. General Dwivedi made no such admission or statement.
The fake clip was shared and amplified by several Pakistani propaganda accounts, including @PakDef_, @Shadowfox_11, @MishaalKhan_, @Shahreen_khn, @truePakistani1_, @_AliMustafa, and @anmolkhan_00, using sensational captions to mislead audiences.

Truth: Original PTI Video Shows No Such Admission
As the false claim gained traction on social media, it drew our attention. The D-Intent Data Team conducted a detailed frame-by-frame investigation and keyword research. During the analysis, inconsistencies in facial expressions and audio synchronisation raised clear doubts about the clip’s authenticity. The visible media logo helped trace the source of the original footage. Our investigation led us to the official @PTI_News account, which published the authentic video from General Upendra Dwivedi’s annual press conference in Delhi. In the original clip, the Army Chief speaks about future warfare, jointness among services, Atmanirbharta, and accelerated innovation, drawing lessons from Operation Sindoor.

Importantly, he does not mention the loss of any fighter jets, nor does he admit to Air Force casualties. His remarks focus on integrated national defence strategy, not operational losses.
