Fact Check: A Turkish diplomat said, “We don’t care about India’s concerns, will continue to support Pakistan and Bangladesh”?

Pakistan-based anti-India propaganda accounts are spreading false claims that a Turkish diplomat stated, “We don’t care about India’s concerns, will continue to support Pakistan and Bangladesh.” However, these claims are entirely false and fabricated. There are no verified or official sources confirming that any Turkish diplomat made such a statement. 

Making a post on X (Formerly Twitter) serial fake news peddler and propagandist account @NavCom24 wrote, โ€œTurk diplomat says we don’t care about India’s concerns, will continue to support Pakistan and Bangladeshโ€.

Another Pakistani account, @Sardar_Nouman__, also made a post and wrote, โ€œTurk diplomat says we don’t care about India’s concerns, will continue to support Pakistan and Bangladesh.โ€

The truth behind the claims, Fact Check 

As soon as the posts containing the claims made by propagandists came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis regarding the claims. We found that these assertions were false and fabricated.

To verify the claims made by propagandists. We performed relevant keyword searches but couldn’t find any verified and credible sources supporting these claims. However, recent reports indicate that the Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, Irfan Neziroglu, met with Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan at the Governor House. During the meeting, Ambassador Neziroglu emphasized the strong religious and cultural ties between Pakistan and Tรผrkiye and reiterated his commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation in tourism, engineering, education, sports, and trade. Notably, there was no mention of India in his remarks.

Therefore, it is evident from D-Intent Data’s Fact Check that no Turkish diplomat made any such statement regarding India.
