Fact Check: Arvind Kejriwal to contest from two seats in Delhi Assembly Elections 2025?

Rumours suggest Arvind Kejriwal might contest from two constituencies in the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections due to fears of losing his New Delhi seat, which he has won since 2013. However, at a press conference, Kejriwal refuted these claims, stating, “I will contest from only one seat.” He confirmed his decision to run from the New Delhi constituency and dismissed any plans to contest from another seat.

Sharing a news source on X (Formerly Twitter) BJP IT cell head @amitmalviya wrote, “Arvind Kejriwal is losing the election from New Delhi. So he is constantly making baseless allegations about the voter list and now he is talking about contesting from two seats. How is it possible that only New Delhi’s voter list has flaws and everything else is fine? Was Kejriwal winning with the help of fake votes till now and is he upset because they have been cut? But what will he do after winning the election? AAP is losing. Anyway, while he was the Chief Minister, the Supreme Court had banned him from going to the secretariat. He could not sign any file.”

Several other users, influencers, political workers and parties also disseminated the claims. Their posts can be seen here, @BJP4OBCMorcha, @RahulNagarSM
